First, click the “Select Load File” button and browse to your .DAT or .TXT delimited text file.
Next, select your text encoding and delimiters. You can choose to use the standard set of delimiters by checking the “Use Standard Delimiters” box. Otherwise if your load file uses different delimiters you can uncheck this box and select the individual delimiters.
For more information on delimiters, click here.
Once you have selected the correct delimiters, your field names should appear as blue tokens in the “Fields from Selected Load File” box. Now you will need to map the field values from this box to their destination fields in the Workspace. To do this, simply drag each individual field to the Destination Field on the right. If you do not map a field, its values will not be imported.
Select how you want to handle duplicates in the next box. You can either skip duplicates or overwrite them.
If your document metadata load file contains a path to the related extracted text file, you should check the box for “Extracted text / OCR field contains path to text file”. Also, if your production came from a Windows PC you will need to check the box labeled “Path to text file is backslash delimited (PC format)”. Finally, click the browse button to set the relative path location for the text file path. The full path preview button will show the new path to the text file after combining the relative path that you selected with the path in the load file.
If your document metadata load file contains a path to the related native file, you should check the box for “Native File field value contains path to native file”. Also, if your production came from a Windows PC you will need to check the box labeled “Path to native file is backslash delimited (PC format)”. Finally, click the browse button to set the relative path location for the native file path. The full path preview button will show the new path to the native file after combining the relative path that you selected with the path in the load file.
Lastly, if your document metadata load file contains a field with folder information and you would like to build out those folders within your Workspace, you should check the box for “Folder field value contains folder hierarchy information”. Also, if your production came from a Windows PC you will need to check the box labeled “Folder Path is backslash delimited (PC format)”. Finally, click the Root Folder drop down to select the root folder where you want to begin building out the folder hierarchy.
When you are ready, click Begin Import. The import can take some time depending on the size of the load file, so please be patient. Once the new production data has been loaded, WarRoom will re-cluster all of the documents in the Workspace.
